Master gem polishers in Persia held these diamonds between their fingers and used an olive oil coated slow spinning wooden polishing wheel to make these thin and delicate rose cuts, a technique that is unique to Persia and similar to the creation of other classic Persian crafts. These exceptionally rare diamonds feature a domed top covered in triangular facets perfectly designed to catch and reflect light and are meant to mimic the petals of a rose.
